When I was told by my dentist, after my crown broke off near my gum line, that the best remedy was a dental implant, my husband and I became extremely apprehensive about the pain and discomfort that might be involved in the removal of the old tooth and the implant procedure. I am writing this letter about my dental implant for your patients considering them. I have two of them for about eight years. I don't think about them anymore because they look, feel and act like my own teeth. The procedure went well, and I was very fortunate to have my own general dentist there to observe and assist Dr. Burstein. The waiting time for the completion of the procedures was a little long going for the CT scan and all of the other tests to see if I could have the procedure. But, it was well worth it. WOW! It's almost done! We began talking about this dental magic almost three years ago. After hotfooting thought the scaling, the extraction and the bone restoration, my jaw went into slow motion and we had to wait longer than a Florida ballot count for the implant placement and exposure. But now it's only another week until the porcelain replacements get married to the implant. I can hardly wait to bite once more with mean intention.
